Get Involved

There are many ways to become part of Dyffryn Dulas CIC. You can give your time, share your expertise, work with us as a partner, support someone to attend an activity or simply join one of our paid classes.

Every contribution helps us create more opportunities for people to connect with nature, develop new skills and spend meaningful time with others.

Volunteer with us

Volunteers are a vital part of Dyffryn Dulas CIC. You might help with practical woodland and conservation activities, preparing spaces for community use, horticulture, wildlife projects or supporting occasional events and activities.

Our woodland project is a work in progress, and there is plenty to do. Volunteers can help us clear smaller branches and vegetation, prepare gathering areas, improve habitats and make spaces ready for future community activities. You do not need specialist experience. We will explain the task, provide guidance and make sure activities are suited to the people taking part.

Right now, we’re especially looking for people to help clear and prepare areas of the woodland as our National Lottery-funded access project progresses. All volunteer activities are planned so that you only take on appropriate, supervised tasks. Specialist tree work and other hazardous jobs are always carried out by qualified professionals.
Volunteering might suit you if:

You enjoy spending time outdoors in all seasons

You’d like to support community wellbeing in a practical way

You’re happy to work as part of a small, friendly team

You have a few hours to spare on an occasional or regular basis

You’re curious about woodland, wildlife or conservation

Partner with us

We believe in the power of collaboration to nurture both people and the planet. By joining forces with like-minded organisations, we can expand our reach and deepen our impact on community wellbeing. We are proud to work alongside inspiring groups like RPAS Heroes CIC and Flight Path to bring meaningful change to our woodland sanctuary.
Partnerships could include:
- Joint funding applications for environmental projects
- Collaborative wellness workshops and outdoor events
- Skill-sharing programs for conservation and horticulture
- Integrated referral pathways for local residents
- Community interest companies and local charities
- Environmental and wildlife conservation groups
- Healthcare providers and social prescribing leads
- Educational institutions and corporate social responsibility teams

Join a paid session

Joining one of our paid classes is another way to support our work. You receive an enjoyable, small-group experience in the Dulas Valley, while your payment helps us care for the spaces we use and create free or subsidised opportunities for others.

Our supporters and partners

We are grateful to the funders and partners who are helping us open up the woodland, create new activities and reach people who can benefit from time in nature.
